# Dashboard

> Your academy at a glance.

The **Dashboard** is the first page you see after signing in. It shows your academy at a glance and points you to anything that needs your attention.

To open it at any time, click **Dashboard** in the left menu.

## The getting-started checklist

While you are still setting up, a checklist called **Get your academy going** sits at the top of the dashboard. It disappears once every step is done. See [The getting-started checklist](https://paatya.net/docs/get-started/getting-started-checklist).

## Your balance

Four cards show your academy's money: **Current balance**, **Today's usage**, **This month** and **Estimated runway** (roughly how many days your balance will last at your recent rate of use). Click a card to open the matching page under **Usage & Billing**. See [How pay-as-you-go works](https://paatya.net/docs/billing/how-billing-works).

> **Note:** On a fixed yearly plan, usage is included in the plan, so these four cards are not shown.

## Courses, online tests or both

The dashboard shows what your academy actually has:

- **Courses only.** You see the course parts: the **Total courses** card, the **Course completion overview** chart and **Create course**.
- **Online tests only.** You see the test parts instead: the **Total online tests** card, the **Online test overview** chart and **Create online test**.
- **Both.** You see the course parts and the test parts, side by side.
- **Neither yet.** You see the course parts. If your academy doesn't offer online courses, you see the test parts instead.

## The numbers

| Card | What it counts |
| --- | --- |
| **Total courses** | Every course in your academy, in any status. |
| **Total online tests** | Every online test series in your academy, in any status. |
| **Active students** | Students who have activated their account and can sign in. Invited and deactivated students are not counted. |
| **Total enrollments** | Every enrollment, in a course or an online test. |
| **Average completion** | Of all the topics across every enrollment, the share students have finished. |

The small note on each card, such as "+5 this month", shows how many were added this calendar month. Hover over it to see last month's figure.

> **Note:** "Active students" here means active **accounts**. On the [Learning analytics](https://paatya.net/docs/analytics/learning) page, "Active students" means students who actually studied during the dates you pick. The two numbers are usually different.

## Recent enrollments

The six newest enrollments, with the student, what they are enrolled in, the date and progress. The column is called **Course**, **Online test** or **Course or test**, depending on what your academy has. Click **View all** to open the [Enrollments](https://paatya.net/docs/enrollments/manage-enrollments) page.

## Course completion overview

A bar for each of your busiest courses, showing how far its students have got on average. Each bar shows the number of students and the topics they have finished, for example "12 students · 30/48 topics". Click a course to open its [Course health](https://paatya.net/docs/courses/course-health) page.

## Online test overview

A bar for each of your busiest online test series, showing how many of its tests the students have sat. Each bar shows the number of students and the tests they have taken, for example "12 students · 20/36 tests". Click a test series to open its **Tests** page.

Until anyone is enrolled, the chart says "No online test has anybody on it yet, so there is nothing to sit." Click **Go to online tests** to open your list.

## Needs attention

A short list of things you may want to act on. Only items with something to report are shown:

- **"3 courses are in draft"**: courses your students can't see yet.
- **"2 online tests are in draft"**: online tests your students can't sit yet. Clicking it opens **Online tests** showing only drafts.
- **"5 students have not activated"**: they haven't set a password from their welcome email.
- **"8 enrollments have not started"**: students who haven't opened their course.
- **"4 quiz attempts below 50%"**: students who may need help, or questions that may need a second look. Clicking it opens the **Students** list filtered to the students with at least one such attempt.

Click an item to open the matching list. Most open already filtered, for example the Students list showing only **Invited** students. When everything is fine, it says "Nothing needs attention right now."

## Quick actions

Shortcuts to the three most common jobs: **Create course**, **Add student** and **Enroll students**. If your academy has online tests and no courses, the first button is **Create online test** instead.

## Refer & earn

Under **Quick actions**, the **Refer & earn** card has your referral link. Click **Copy link** to copy it, or **WhatsApp** to share it. The line at the bottom shows how many academies have joined through it and the credit you've earned; click it to open [Refer & earn](https://paatya.net/docs/billing/refer-and-earn).
