Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-10-15, in force from 15 October 2026
This policy sets out what academies, admins and learners must not do on Paatya. It forms part of the Terms of Service. An academy owner is responsible for making sure the academy, its admins and its content keep to it.
1. Content you must not publish
Do not upload, publish or share anything that:
- you do not have the right to publish, including course material, videos, books or software copied from somebody else;
- is obscene or pornographic, or sexualises children in any way;
- is defamatory, harasses or threatens anybody, or promotes hatred or violence against a group;
- impersonates a person or an organisation, or misleads people about who you are;
- is false or misleading about qualifications, certificates, results or job placements;
- promotes gambling, or anything else that is unlawful in India;
- contains malware, or anything designed to damage or take over a device or account;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, public order, or friendly relations with other countries.
2. Things you must not do
- Share accounts, sell access to courses you do not own, or help others get around an academy's paid access, including by recording or re-sharing lesson videos or hiding the name shown over them.
- Send spam, or invite people who have not agreed to hear from you.
- Collect learners' personal data for anything other than teaching them.
- When selling courses: show a false price, discount or MRP; promise refunds you do not give; sell a course you do not have the right to sell; or sell anything Razorpay does not allow its merchants to sell.
- Ask learners to pay outside Paatya for a course you sell on it, in order to avoid its fee.
- Try to get into another academy, another person's account, or parts of Paatya you are not meant to reach.
- Overload, probe or scan Paatya, or get around its limits, except as allowed under a responsible disclosure arrangement agreed with us.
3. Children
Many academies teach children. An academy that enrols learners under 18 must have their parent's or guardian's consent to do so, and to the academy handling the child's personal data. Content aimed at children must be suitable for them.
4. Reporting content
Anybody can report content they believe breaks this policy, or infringes their copyright, to support@paatya.net. Tell us where it is and why. See Contact and Grievance Redressal for how reports are handled.
5. What we do
We may remove or disable content that breaks this policy, and may suspend an academy or an account that breaks it, as described in the Terms of Service. Where we can, we tell the academy owner first and say why. Where the law requires, we keep records and report to the authorities.
