Fixed plans
A 1-year or 3-year plan instead of pay-as-you-go, and what happens when it ends.
Some academies pay Paatya a fixed amount for 1 year or 3 years instead of paying as they go. Paatya agrees the plan with you and records it; you don't set it up yourself.
Moving to a fixed plan
Every academy starts on pay-as-you-go. To move to a 1-year or 3-year plan, contact Paatya; Paatya records the plan for you.
Refer & earn on a fixed plan
On a fixed plan, Refer & earn gives you days instead of credit: when an academy you referred pays for a 1-year or 3-year plan, 10 days (usually) are added to the end of your plan.
What changes on a fixed plan
- Nothing is charged to your balance. Active learners, video storage and video streaming are still counted, so your reports stay complete, but they are included in the plan.
- A balance of zero blocks nothing. You can add courses, tests and students, and students can learn and take tests as usual.
- Low-balance emails, the daily summary and automatic recharge stop.
- When your academy moves from pay-as-you-go to a fixed plan, its balance is set to zero. Your Transactions show it as an adjustment: "Pricing model changed from pay-as-you-go to a fixed plan".
Under Usage & Billing, the Overview tab shows your plan, its dates and how many days are left. The balance in the top bar is replaced by Plan until and the plan's last day.
When the plan ends
Paatya emails you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before your plan's last day. Contact Paatya to renew.
If the plan is not renewed:
- Grace period. For a few more days (usually 10) everything keeps working. A banner tells you when students will be stopped.
- On hold. After the grace period, students can't sign in. They see "{your academy} is on hold. Please contact your admin." on the website and in the app. You can still sign in and see your academy, but you can't add courses, tests or students, and nobody can buy.
Nothing is deleted. Once Paatya records the renewal, everything comes back straight away.
Selling paid tests and courses on a fixed plan
On a fixed plan, Paatya collects your students' payments and pays your share to you. See Sales & payouts.
