Paatya

Sales & payouts

On a fixed plan: what students paid, Paatya's commission, and what Paatya has paid you.

On a fixed plan, students pay for your paid tests and courses through Paatya. Paatya keeps a small commission (usually 7% of the price before GST), pays Razorpay's charges itself, and pays the rest of each sale to you. You don't need a payout account.

Set up

In the left menu, click Payments, then the Setup tab:

  1. Under 1 How do students pay?, choose Online, through Paatya and click Save.
  2. Card 2 How you are paid shows Paatya's commission.
  3. Under 3 Refunds, choose whether you give refunds, and for how many days.

Then set each test's or course's price under Price on its edit page. It shows the MRP, the discount, the discounted price, the price with GST, Paatya's commission and what you receive.

GST

Choose under Setup whether students pay GST on top of the price or whether it is included in it (you pay it out of the price). You need a GSTIN under Usage & Billing → Billing details to charge GST.

GST does not apply yet. Your choice is saved and takes effect once it does; until then the Setup page says so. Paatya's commission is always worked out on the price before GST.

Sales & payouts

Click Payments, then the Sales & payouts tab. At the top:

  • Students paid: everything students paid, including GST.
  • GST, Processing fees (Razorpay's charges, paid by Paatya) and Paatya commission.
  • Your share: what the sales owe you, less any refunds.
  • Paid out and Still to be paid to you.

Below that, every sale: when it was paid, the student, the test or course, what they paid, GST, the processing fee, Paatya's commission, your share, and whether it has been Paid (with the payout number and date) or is Not paid yet.

Filter by payment dates, type (online tests or courses), payout status, payout number, student, or amount. Click Export CSV to download exactly what the filters show.

Under Payouts is every payment Paatya has made to you: its number, date, how it was paid and the bank reference, and which sales it covered.

Refunds

When you refund a student, your part of the refund comes off what Paatya owes you. If the sale was already paid out, it is deducted from your next payout and shows as a refund on that sale.
